This is a non-competitive introduction to the basics of hockey for participants who are 3 to 5 years old. The participant must be 3 years old by the start of this program.
No previous hockey or skating experience is necessary. Participants will be introduced to the basic skating skills and movements in a fun and friendly environment.
The Mighty Mites Program is intended to provide kids with some understanding of the game by focusing on a love for skating first. Skaters must wear full gear and will learn the fundamentals of skating: balance, forward and backward skating, stopping, and agility. Pucks and stick handling will also be included in the learning. These sessions will focus on FUN!
This is an 8-week program with 2 sessions per week held on Tuesday and Thursday starting Tuesday April 1, 2025 and end on Thursday May 29, 2025.
NOTE: There will be a week break from April 20, 2025 to April 25, 2025. You will have the option to select either a:
• Morning Sessions: 9:45 AM to 10:30 AM or
• Afternoon Session: 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM
There is limited space in this program so register early to avoid disappointment.
This program will be led by Chalsie Doiron who has 15+ years experience teaching skaters of all levels. Chalsie is a fully certified CanPowerSkate through Skate Canada.
Please complete your Respect In Sport Parent Certification prior to the first skate.
