Spooktacular Try Me Day

Do you love swimming, music and dance? Then come try Synchronized Swimming with the Davis AquaStarz and learn the basics of synchro, perform in a mini water show and make new friends! This program is open to ages 5-18.

DATE: Saturday, October 26, 2024

TIME: 11:00AM-12:00PM

LOCATION: Mano Pool, 1525 Tulip Lane, Davis, CA

Swimmers should arrive in a one-piece swim suit with sunscreen already applied. Please also bring swim goggles, a swim cap, a water bottle, and towel. The team will provide an AquaStarz 'welcome kit' that includes a nose clip.

Fees/Payments

The fee for Try Me Day is $20.

The AquaStarz has a no refund policy and cannot issue a refund once you have registered. Please reach out to davisaquastarztreasurer@gmail.com with any questions on this matter.

AUTHORIZATION OF MEDICAL TREATMENT: In the event of an accident or emergency. I authorize a representative of the Davis AquaStarz Synchronized Swimming Team, including coaches, lifeguards and parent volunteers/chaperones, to make such arrangements as he/she considers necessary for the swimmer to receive medical care from an emergency medical team or to be transported to a medical facility for further treatment by any licensed physician while the swimmer is under the supervision of the team. *

PHOTO RELEASE: I hereby grant Davis AquaStarz Synchronized Swimming Team (“Team”) and its Team photographer(s) permission to use my child’s likeness in photograph, video, or other digital media (“Photo”) in any and all of its publications, including web-based publications. Additionally, I grant third parties’ permission to use my child’s Photo for various Team approved uses, including but not limited to newspaper and television coverage of Team events and swimmers, and Photo contests. “Likeness” refers to a child’s identifiable facial features. ----- I understand that AquaStarz disseminates Photos in both digital and print versions. Currently, the Team shares Photos via a private Instagram account, as well as through publicly accessible forums, including the team website and various advertising and media sources. ----- I understand that Photos taken by the Team's photographer(s) belong to them in exchange for the volunteer services they provide to the team. By signing this waiver, I approve their use of the Photos in social media venues, photographic competitions, exhibits, and shows. ----- If you choose YES: I hereby agree to the terms of this Photo Release. ----- If you choose NO: I only consent to my child’s Photo being included in the Team photo, inclusion in the end of the year slide show, and on the team photo poster at the annual water show. *

WAIVER OF LIABILITY: In consideration of being allowed to participate in any way in AquaStarz Synchronized Swimming (AquaStarz) events, activities or programs, I acknowledge and agree that: (1) I understand that I or (if the participant is a minor) my child or ward, will be engaging in travel and activities that involve the risk of serious injury, including permanent disability and death, severe social and economic losses and other loss including damage to property. (2) I knowingly and freely assume all such risks. (3) I, for myself, my minor child or ward, and on behalf of my and their heirs and assigns, release, waive, discharge and covenant not to sue AquaStarz, its officers, agents, employees, and sponsors as well as its affiliate clubs, from any and all liability for any and all claims, demands, losses or damages on account of injury, including death and damage to property, whether caused by negligence or otherwise. *

Terms and Conditions

Follow the 'Rules of the Pool'

Walk on deck - no running
No rough play or profanity allowed.
Physical contact with fellow swimmers should be of an appropriate nature.
Language and conversation topics at practice should remain appropriate for all age levels.
Do not enter the pool without a coach or lifeguard at the side of the pool.
No swimmers are permitted on the diving boards without coaches’ express approval.
No glass, ceramic, or otherwise breakable bottles, jars, mugs, etc. on the pool deck.
No cell phones, cameras, or video recording devices allowed in the locker room or restrooms.
No swimmer may participate if under the influence of drugs or alcohol. They will be sent home, and a parent will be contacted.
Show respect for all swimmers, parents, coaches and lifeguards.
