I will provide positive support, care, and encouragement for all players participating in the Toronto Gridiron Minor Tackle Football Club Inc. (“Toronto Jr. Argos” or the “Club”). I will encourage good sportsmanship by demonstrating positive support for players, coaches, and officials at games, practices, and other league events. I will place the emotional and physical well being of players ahead of any personal desire to win. I will discourage the use of illegal or performance-enhancing substances among players. I will encourage my child to treat other players, coaches, fans, and officials with respect, regardless of race, gender, creed, or ability. I will support coaches and officials in providing a positive and rewarding sports environment for players. I have read and agree to abide by this Code of Conduct while a member of the Toronto Jr. Argos.

The player agrees to participate in the Toronto Jr. Argos to the best of his/her ability and accepts responsibility for his/her actions on and off the field of play. The player will demonstrate good sportsmanship on and off the field of play at all times. The player will exercise self-control and listen and learn from coaches. The player will be courteous and treat coaches, other players, officials, and fans with respect, regardless of race, gender, creed, or ability. The player will refrain from the use of foul or abusive language on and off the field of play. The player will respect the integrity and judgment of game officials. The player will win with character and lose with dignity.
*Indemnity and Authorization: Confirm read and understood
In consideration of the Toronto Jr. Argos, permitting me/our child to participate in the Club, we hereby promise to indemnify and save harmless the Toronto Jr. Argos and its Members, which includes but is not limited to its representatives, officers, directors, employees, successors, coaches, volunteers, board of directors, players, and agents from and against all claims, demands, actions and proceedings, by whomsoever made or brought in respect of any costs, including legal defence costs and disbursements, expenses, loss, damage or injury, including death arising by reason of or in connection with my/our child's participation in the said activities including travel to/from said activities, and hereby release and forever discharge Toronto Jr. Argos and their Members from and against all claims and demands whatsoever which we, our child, our or their heirs, executors, administrators, or assigns, can, share or may have reason of my/our child's participation in such activities, or by reason of the provision of medical care to me/him/her.

I, the applicant, on behalf of myself, members of my family, the player I am registering, my heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, hereby forever release, discharge and hold harmless Ontario Summer Football League, Football Ontario, the Toronto Gridiron Minor Tackle Football Club Inc., the Toronto Jr. Argos, and their membership, representatives, board members, players, coaches, volunteers and agents for any injury, loss or damage to my person or property howsoever caused, arising out of or in connection with me or my player taking part in football activities and notwithstanding that the same may have been contributed to or occasioned by the negligence of Ontario Summer Football League, Football Ontario, the Toronto Gridiron Minor Tackle Football Club Inc., the Toronto Jr. Argos, and their membership representatives or agents. I am fully aware that there is a risk of injury involved in participating in this type of activity.
Privacy Policy
Toronto Gridiron Minor Tackle Football Club Inc., operating as the Toronto Jr. Argos, hereafter, both referred to as the Club, abides by the Canadian Privacy Act. The collection of personal information is required for registration and medical needs. The Club shall retain these records as long as the player remains a member of the organization. The Club retains statistics and photographs for the purpose of communicating information on the Club.These may be used by the Club in publicity, advertising, web site, community relations, and broadcast activities. I agree with the privacy policy. I allow the Club to use my/our child's personal information under these conditions.
Equipment/Property Return Policy
When your child's football season has ended, ALL equipment/property must be returned during the allotted times or when alternate arrangement plans have been made with the EQUIPMENT DIRECTOR. If your child decides to not finish the season, then arrangements should be made with the Equipment Director at his/her convenience for its prompt return. Failure to return the equipment in a reasonable timeframe (deemed appropriate by the Toronto Gridiron Minor Tackle Football Club Inc., i.e. the Toronto Jr. Argos) will result in an invoice for the approximate replacement cost. The current estimate of the equipment cost is $1000. 'Equipment' includes helmets, shoulder pads, all pants, belts, knee pads, kidney pads, tailbone pad, thigh pads, etc. 'Property' is anything else loaned by the team to the player such as footballs, training items, etc.
Right to Cut Players
The Board, in consultation with the coach, has the right to request a player leave the organization. Upon the player being notified of the decision, the player will be removed from the active roster and will not be allowed to play nor practice with the team. Also, the player will be provided with a full refund of monies paid minus $100 administration fee upon receipt of all equipment assigned to the player.
Playing Time is Earned
Given the level of play in our league, no player, parent, or guardian should assume (a guaranteed amount of) playing time during games. The amount of play and the use of said player is at the sole discretion of the team's coaches. Many things are taken into consideration regarding playing time, including experience, talent level, commitment to the team (including attendance at all practices and games) and overall attitude.
Harassment and Abuse Policy
It is the policy of the Ontario Summer Football League (“OSFL”) and the Toronto Jr. Argos that there shall be no abuse and neglect, whether physical, emotional or sexual of any participant in any of its programs. The OSFL and Toronto Jr. Argos expect every parent, volunteer, and staff member to take all reasonable steps to safeguard the welfare of its participants and protect them from any form of maltreatment.
COVID-19 POLICY | VACCINATION PROTOCOLS
All players, coaches, staff, and volunteers must adhere to all rules and regulations set out by the province, fields & facilities, buses, and the Toronto Jr. Argos Program. The Toronto Jr. Argos Program does not require proof of vaccination.
Examples: •An away team facility may require you to be vaccinated
•Masks may be mandatory in a changeroom or certain facilities, etc.
No refunds will be given due to COVID or other related issues.
