The Bonneville Grid Kid Football Program has always promoted BEE PRIDE.

We strive to provide a positive sportsmanship environment for our players. Our program is bigger than any one player, coach, or spectator. Our focus is that each player, parent, and coach will practice, play, and conduct themselves with PRIDE.

PARENT: I pledge to conduct myself with BEE P.R.I.D.E.

P- Positive:
I will place the emotional and physical well-being of my child ahead of any personal desire to win, by
keeping all my comments about teammates, coaches, referees, and opponents positive (100% attitude
and effort). I do my very best to make youth sports fun for my child. I will not belittle another player to
make my own child look or feel better. I will understand that every player on the field is someone else’s
child with feelings and their own personal struggles.

R- Respect:
I never encourage my child to deliberately injure another player.
I never use foul language (no swearing or cursing).
I compliment good play by other players (even opponents).
I let the coaches do the coaching.
I will never approach a coach, unsolicited in the middle of a game unless there is a safety or injury
concern.
I never argue with coaches. I realize that I can speak to coaches about concerns. However, I will adhere
to the 24 hour rule (the 24 Hour rule is that parents wait 24 hours after a game to talk to a coach. This rule
lets cool heads prevail).
Criticizing officials, coaches and opponents will not be tolerated. This is youth sports, everyone makes
mistakes, and referees do too. I take responsibility for all family members and friends attending practices
and games to watch my child.
I demand a drug, alcohol and tobacco free sport environment for my child and agree to assist by
refraining from their use at all practices and games.
I will encourage good sportsmanship by demonstrating positive support for all players, fans, coaches and
officials at every game, practice, or other youth sport event.

I- integrity:
I let the coaches do the coaching. I understand that coaches are volunteers. They are donating many
hours each day. Every position on the field is important. Coaches assign positions to your children based
on what they see in practice, games, and film. They put players in positions that will best bless the team
and help your child succeed. I will encourage my child to own their assigned position(s) with a great
attitude and hard work. I will also not allow my child or others to demean other players for any purpose.

D- Dedicated:
I ensure that my child attends and is on time for every practice and scheduled event and has all the
needed equipment and gear. When They cannot attend, I clear this with coaches as early as possible.
Being on time means that my child arrives early enough to have all gear on and standing in place when
practice starts.

E- Encouragement:
I recognize that my child is participating in a team sport; as such the interests of the team shall take
precedence over individual exploits. I encourage my child to be a good teammate by showing respect to
coaches and teammates, working hard, having a good attitude, and showing up to practices and games. I
am a builder of the entire team!

I realize that failure to comply with the above regulations will result in loss of game time or suspension from athletic participation
(Upper Valley Grid Kid by-laws: 7.1 Minimum Playing Time -
Each player shall participate in any and all games for which he is eligible. This means that a player shall have the opportunity to play in a minimum of 10 plays during the course of a game.
Please note that this includes ALL games. 7.2 Eligibility - A player shall be considered eligible if he or she has attended all practices for that week and given his or her full effort during
practice. As a coach it is your foremost responsibility to ensure the safety of your players and to help them reach their potential).
