2025 Colorado Babe Ruth Membership Fee

8U Softball is a developmental division designed to teach girls the fundamentals of softball. It is a coach pitch format with modified rules so players can focus on the basics and build confidence. Batters will receive four pitches from the coach, then one chance to hit the ball off a tee.

Teams will generally have 1 indoor and 1 outdoor practice per week, falling on the same weeknights each week, from Mid-April through June. The days of the week of practice will be chosen by the coaches of each team. Games will begin in early May and run through June. Teams will play Saturdays and Weeknights, for a total of 8 regular-season games. There will be an optional end of season tournament at the end of June. The league will attempt to assign teams and practice locations as close as possible to players' homes. Softball, due to participation numbers is more of a travel sport. Games will be played at various locations around the Denver Metro Area, likely Bowles Grove Park, Village Greens, and/or Aurora Sports Park.

The 8U Softball division is for players who are 6 to 8 years old, as of January 1 of the next year. 6-year-old players who have played at least one season of T-Ball are recommended to play in the 8U Softball division. 

The 8U Softball division keeps scores and standings. Tournaments will be seeded based on the division's standings. 

While we encourage players to participate in multiple sports, different sports and leagues have varying season start and end dates. There may be overlap between other sports. While we aim to put 13 players on each roster, to cover conflicts like multiple sports and family vacations, if another sport will have a significant overlap with our softball season, it not only creates issues for the family involved, but can adversely affect the team(s) of the player. Missing a significant number of practices causes players to be behind their teammates in knowledge and skill levels. Having a significant number of players absent for games could cause the team to have to forfeit games, for lack of enough players to legally field a team. I/we hereby release all claim of liability against CYBSA and agree to hold harmless and indemnify CYBSA, its officers, directors, volunteers, sponsors, and all other participants in case of any injury or death to my/our child, whether the result of negligence or any other cause, except to the extent covered by accident and/or liability insurance carried by the family and CYBSA. I/we agree that any image or likeness provided to the league or captured by the league, may be used on the league website or social media, unless written notice is provided requesting exclusion or removal. I/we agree to return upon request any equipment issued to my Child in the same condition as when received, (normal use and wear excepted.)
The Centennial Youth Baseball-Softball Association (CYBSA) Board of Directors is proud to offer two registration options: regular and refundable. Please look at the refund policies for both registration options carefully and choose the right one for you:
 
'Regular' Registrations can be canceled and fully refunded within 48 hours of the initial registration. Following this, no refunds are permitted. There is an additional option to purchase a refundable registration that covers cancellation beyond 48 hours.

'Refundable' Registrations can be canceled up until the 25th of April for the spring/summer season, and a full refund of the base registration will be given (the fee for the refundable registration is forfeited). After the 25th of April, the base registration fee can still be refunded, pro rata, based on the start and end dates of the season, minus any already received equipment, such as jersey, helmet, hat, etc. There are no requirements or conditions to be eligible for said refund, unlike many other registration insurance options, such as season ending injury or relocation. This is refundable for any reason, per the terms above.
