OPP Record Check

All local Little Leagues, such as Carleton Russell Little League, are required to conduct background checks on managers, coaches, board of directors members and any other persons, volunteers or hired workers, who provide regular services to the league and/or have repetitive access to, or contact with, players or teams.

The Carleton Russell Little League (CRLL) Code of Conduct sets the behavioral standards for all CRLL members, encompassing athletes, coaches, parents, directors, officers, umpires, and volunteers. CRLL is dedicated to fostering an environment where everyone is treated with respect, and members are expected to uphold fairness and responsibility in all their interactions. The code strictly prohibits any form of violence, disrespect, offense, abuse, racism, sexism, or actions that tarnish the league or the sport of baseball. Prohibited behaviors include verbal assaults, intimidation, threats, aggression, theft, vandalism, and harassment. By signing this code, members commit to respecting officials' authority, addressing concerns with coaches privately, and following league rules. Non-compliance may result in disciplinary actions as per CRLL, Little League, and associated governing bodies' policies, potentially leading to suspension or termination of membership. Discrimination, harassment, or sexual solicitation cases will result in immediate termination of membership and voluntary service with CRLL.

Concussion Code of Conduct

Carleton Russel Little League (CRLL) Concussion Code of Conduct: Safeguarding Athlete Well-being in Compliance with Rowan's Law.

Ontario's commitment to concussion management and prevention, as mandated by Rowan's Law (Concussion Safety), 2018, requires sports organizations to ensure annual review of Concussion Awareness Resources, establish a Concussion Code of Conduct, and implement Removal-from-Sport and Return-to-Sport protocols. Carleton Russell Little League (CRLL) emphasizes the safety of young athletes, requiring officials to affirm their dedication to concussion prevention, recognition, reporting, and creating a supportive environment. Officials must also confirm the review of necessary resources to ensure compliance with Rowan's Law, reinforcing their commitment to athlete well-being.

AS A CONDITION OF VOLUNTEERING, I give permission for the Little League organization to conduct background check(s) on me now and as long as I continue to be active with the organization, which may include a review of sex offender registries (some of which contain name only searches which may result in a report being generated that may or may not be me), child abuse and criminal history records. I understand that, if appointed, my position is conditional upon the league receiving no inappropriate information on my background. I hereby release and agree to hold harmless from liability the local Little League, Little League Baseball, Incorporated, the officers, employees and volunteers thereof, or any other person or organization that may provide such information. I also understand that, regardless of previous appointments, Little League is not obligated to appoint me to a volunteer position. If appointed, I understand that, prior to the expiration of my term, I am subject to suspension by the President and removal by the Board of Directors for violation of Little League policies or principles.

As there are no associated costs with our services, a refund policy is not applicable.
