Flag football is the fastest growing sport, and the Cumberland Girls Football Club is excited to continue
their pursuit of competing in the Elite space.


This form is for the registration for the U14, U16, U20 Elite Girls Flag Tryout.  For complete information
on the programs and all our girls and women's programs, please refer to your team's website.


Tryouts dates to be announced to all registered participants. Upon completion of the tryouts, the roster
size for each age group will be 12 players with 3 alternates. The goal of the elite flag program is to
compete in local, provincial, national, and potentially international tournaments. Participation in these
tournaments will be determined by the coaches and families involved. Only the rostered players will
participate in tournaments. Alternates will be invited when a rostered player is unavailable.


The elite flag program can be defined in three phases.

Phase 1 – Tryouts,

Phase 2 – Practices/Training,

Phase 3 – Tournaments. Tournament dates will range as early as May with the majority in August and
extending into the fall.


Elite flag teams (Roster and Alternates) will practice once a week on Monday evenings in May, June, and
July. Practices will be 2-3 times a week in August, Sept, and October.


Registration fees for the elite flag programs will be $300 and collected at the conclusion of the tryouts
for the roster players and alternate players. In Addition, fees will be collected for tournaments
as a “pay per play” style. Lastly, fundraising efforts will be required for all participants.

 

NOTE: Participating in any unsanctioned event will not be covered by insurance

Photos may be used without payment or any other consideration.
I hereby certify that I am the parent, Guardian or age of consent and do hereby give my consent without reservation to the foregoing on behalf of this person.

The Cumberland Girls Football Club (CGFC) understands that unexpected situations may arise that require a player to withdraw from the program. Therefore, we have established the following refund policy:

Refunds will be based on the percentage of the season completed as follows:

1. If a player withdraws before the start of practices or tryouts, they will receive a full refund of their club fees;
2. If a player withdraws after practices or tryouts have started but before the first game of the season, they will receive a refund of 75% of their club fees;
3. If a player withdraws after the first game, there will be no refund given.

Refund Processing

Please note that refunds will not be issued until:

a) All provided equipment (e.g., helmets, shoulder pads) has been returned in good condition;
b) Any outstanding balance (net of refund) on the player's account is paid in full.

Refund Exceptions

Please note that no refunds will be issued for:

a) Any equipment or uniform purchases made by the player or their parents/guardians;
b) Any Football Ontario or Football Canada registration fees, which may have been charged at the time of enrollment.

Requesting a Refund

To request a refund, please contact the CGFC Treasurer, who will provide you with the necessary forms to fill out. Refunds will be processed within 30 days of receipt of the completed refund request form.
