Dodgeball San Diego — the only locally owned and operated dodgeball league in San Diego — is thrilled to announce our first ever 7' foam tournament. We're here to foster an inclusive environment for all players — regardless of skill level or orientation. We believe that dodgeball is for all and seek to ensure access to the sport at both a local and national level. So come join us, it'll be a blast!
Event Details
Date: March 1st, 2025 at 10am PST
Registration: $60 per player
Venue: San Diego Sol — San Marcos
Address: 1601 San Elijo Road S, San Marcos, CA 92078
Teams: Up to 16 teams, at least 5 players must register to secure a team spot. Teams must have at least two players that do not identify as cis-male (they do not need to be on the court at all times, you're welcome to rotate everyone as necessary).
Tournament Details
Rules: USA Dodgeball Rules (modified for 7 players on the court)
Ball Type: 7' Foam
Roster: Max of 9 players with 7 on the court.
Play: Round robin to determine seed order followed by single elimination (depending on final team count we may do a bottom-bowl bracket as well).
Refereeing: each team will be required to provide referees throughout the day.
Other Information
Host Hotel: We do not have a host hotel. Our social events will be held in Hillcrest, San Diego (near Balboa Park, Downtown, the Zoo, and the airport) while the tournament itself will occur in San Marcos which is approximately a 30-40 minute drive north. Please feel free to take creative liberties with your lodging for the weekend, San Diego is a large city with many different unique neighborhoods, all fairly accessible and close to the major interstate you'll need to use to get between events! We'll send out a tourist guide down the road to help you plan your visit and make the most of a weekend out here.
