Welcome to another fantastic season of NFL Flag Football in Abbotsford!

  • The Spring 2026 season will begin April 18 and wrap up by June 13
  • Games are held on Saturdays at the fields at Abbotsford Senior Secondary on Bevan Ave
  • Games are played between 9am and 3pm
  • All players receive an official NFL Flag Football Jersey and Flags.
  • No other equipment is required however we encourage all players to wear cleats
  • Registration closes August 23, after which a late fee will apply.

Spring 2026 Friend Request Rules:
Please note that the age groupings below may change based on factors such as the number of registrants of a certain age.
16U Division (ages 14, 15, 16)
Friend requests are not available for the 16U division. However, requests for siblings to be placed on the same team and for players to be assigned to a team coached by their parent (Head Coach) will be honored.

13U Division ( Ages 13, 12, 11)
May Request 1 friend. To be considered, both friends must request each other.
If a team is deemed too strong during the team formation process, friend requests may be denied. Requests will be honored on a first-come, first-served basis. The remaining roster spots will be filled by league-assigned players based on factors such as skill level, years of experience and so forth. Special circumstances may be considered.

10U Division ( Ages 10, 9, 8)
May Request 1 friend.

7U Division ( Ages 7, 6, 5, 4)
May Request 1 friend.

Other notes:
  • We are always looking for Head and Assistant Coaches - no experience necessary.
    • Head Coaches, will receive a special recognition gift (e.g. a gift card to a local business for $40). Volunteer for an amazing experience with your child!
    • We will help new Coaches get up and running. A valid police record check is required
  • ​We encourage our Coaches to hold practices on gamedays, before or after their game. However, some do schedule midweek practices after consultation with team parents. 
  • We have a strong commitment to giving back to our communities. We frame it as our league's kids helping other kids in their community. An example of this initiative is the food drive organized for our tournament day, where our families were able to gather a significant amount of food to be donated to the local food bank. 
  • Please reach out for more information if you would be interested in helping with any of the above.
  • The registration fee remains the same as last season, but now includes GST - $231 for a single player. For families registering two or more players, the family rate fee is $211 per player.
  • We believe cost should not be a barrier for kids to benefit from sports. If you are in need of alternate arrangements, please reach out to us to discuss.

Throughout the season, our volunteers work on initiatives to increase the spirit of our league, and further our vision of "our kids helping kids in their community". In the past, this has included a food drive, halloween candy, and hot chocolate for the players on cold days.

Conditions of Participation

In return for my child (“Participant”) being allowed to participate in the Fraser Valley Flag Football League (FV Flag) program (the “Program”), I release and agree not to pursue legal action against the Fraser Valley Flag Football League, and their employees, sponsors, agents, and affiliates from all present and future claims that may be made by the Participant or me, my family, estate, heirs, or assigns for property damage, personal injury, or wrongful death arising as a result of the Participant's participation in the Program and caused by the ordinary negligence of the parties listed above, wherever, whenever, or however the same may occur.



I understand and agree that those listed above are not responsible for any injury or property damage arising out of the Program, even if caused by their ordinary negligence. I certify that the Participant is in excellent physical health, and may participate in strenuous and hazardous physical activities, including the football to be played in the Program.. I understand that this document is intended to be as broad and inclusive as permitted by the laws of the province in which the Program is taking place and agree that if any portion of this Agreement is invalid, the remainder will continue in full legal force and effect.

I am the parent or legal guardian of the Participant. I am of legal age and am freely signing this Agreement. I have read this form and understand that by signing this form, I am giving up legal rights and remedies.

I represent that I am a parent/legal guardian of the child named above, and that the terms of this release are binding on the child and me.
Our mission is to provide a positive and enjoyable environment for kids to learn and play. We strive to foster a culture of sportsmanship, teamwork, and a genuine love for the game.

Important Conditions of Participation:

Positive and Supportive Behavior: This league requires a positive and supportive environment for all participants.

Respectful Conduct: All parents/guardians must conduct themselves respectfully towards coaches, players, officials, and other parents.

No Disruptive Behavior: Complaining, arguing, or any other disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.
Consequences: Disruptive behavior may result in disciplinary action, including warnings, suspensions, and in severe cases, expulsion from the league for both the parent/guardian and the child.

We believe in a positive and encouraging atmosphere for all. We look forward to a fantastic season of fun, growth, and memorable experiences for all!

Note 1: Credit Card Fees

Please note that there is a fee set and charged by the credit card processor when paying by credit card. This fee is waived for payments made by e-transfer or cash. If paying by cash or e-transfer, or making other arrangements with us, please select "Pay by Cheque, Transfer, etc" from the dropdown on the next screen.

Note 2: Family Registration

If you are registering 2 or more siblings, please select to "Pay by Cheque, Transfer, etc" from the dropdown on the next screen for each player. This way we can waive the credit card processing fees that would be charged by the processor. The amount due will be $211 x the number of siblings being registered.

Parents / Players / Coaches - Code of Conduct

This document presents the expectations for conduct from athletes, parents, and coaches at Fraser Valley Flag Football. We hold athletes, parents, coaches, and community members to a high standard of sportsmanship. Enforcing this Code of Conduct allows Fraser Valley Flag Football to promote a safe, rewarding, and fun sports experience for our entire community.  Please read the document carefully before registering for each season. Each parent, legal guardian, participant and coach is required to acknowledge the Code of Conduct before the season begins, and must abide by the Code of Conduct throughout the entire season.   Registration of a participant automatically confirms that you as either a parent, legal guardian, player, or coach have acknowledged this code of conduct policy.  Violations of the Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action including suspension - either temporarily or permanently as determined by the league officials.

 

Code of Conduct for Parents

● I will put the emotional and physical well-being of youth participants ahead of a personal desire to win.

● I will respect players, coaches, league officials, spectators, and referees at all times.

● I will respect the decisions of officials or coaches.

● I will not engage in any violence or verbal threats or use any profanity.

● I will not yell advice to my child during a game, nor will I yell advice to any other player.

● I will model good sportsmanship for all youth participants.

● I will not belittle or ridicule anyone involved in a youth sporting event–in public, private, in-person, or online.

● I will do my part to keep sports fun and positive for every youth participant.

 

Code of Conduct for Players

● I will be a good sport to players, coaches, officials, opponents, and parents at every game and practice, no matter win or lose.

● I will learn the value of commitment by participating in as many practices / games as I can.

● I will encourage my teammates / opponents and praise good efforts.

● I will be honest, fair, and respectful to others at all times.

● I will aim to learn all I can from sports.

● I will arrive at practice on time and be ready to dedicate my attention to my coaches.   

 

Code of Conduct for Coaches

● I will adhere to the league policy of Criminal Record Checks for coaches.

● I will coach with the goal of creating a positive learning experience for athletes. Winning games is secondary to building a positive youth sports experience for my players, parents of my players, and opposing teams.

● I will put the emotional and physical well-being of youth participants ahead of a personal desire to win.

● I will follow all safety protocols of the league.

● I will under no circumstances engage in an argument with a referee or official. Any discussions or conversations with officials or referees will be in a respectful tone.

● I will not belittle or ridicule anyone involved in a youth sporting event-in public, private, in person, or online.

● I will treat opposing coaches and athletes with respect and represent my community in a positive manner.   

Please note, we are unable to refund the processing fees added by the provider for credit card payments. Any refunds for credit card payments will be less the credit card processing fees.

There will be no refunds after the first week of play. Special circumstances will be considered.
