Welcome to Toronto's premier Jewish Men's Basketball League, where serious basketball action and Jewish unity happen under one roof!

The league will consist of 16 teams divided into two divisions, with each team having 8-12 players. Each team is guaranteed to play a minimum of 14 games. All teams will play the first round of playoffs and enjoy an all-star day.

Games for D1 (Top Tier) will be played on Thursday nights (6:30 - 10:30 pm) at a top-tier beautiful indoor gym located in David's Ann Athletic Centre. Games for D2 (Lower Tier) will be played on Tuesday nights (6:30 - 10:30 pm) at the same top-tier beautiful indoor gym located in David's Ann Athletic Centre.

Both divisions (D1 & D2) will feature the same benefits (same gym, game rules, refs, uniforms, stats, full-game coverage, NBA-Style media day, social media exposure, standings, shot clock, etc.). The divisions are strictly to accommodate differences in skill levels and support the amazing growth of our league(s). Unless arranged otherwise with the league commissioner, Yair Shpiler, your team is expected to be available to play when scheduled. 

Every game will feature two official referees, scoreboard keepers, and personal stats. Jerseys must be worn at every game by the correct player. No exceptions.

Game playing time will be 2 halves of 22 minutes each with a running game clock, a 3-minute warm-up, a 4-minute halftime, and 2 timeouts of 1 minute per half per team. The clock stops in the last three minutes of the second half if the point differential is 10 or less. A total of one hour per game.

First overtime will be 4 minutes, second overtime will be 2 minutes, and the third overtime will be the first to score.

You will be able to view your team's schedule, exact game times, and location on the TeamLinkt App as well as on our Jewnity.ca website. All players fully registered & paid by Oct 10, 2024, will receive a quality custom NBA-style uniform with their name and chosen number. The winning team will enjoy a gourmet kosher dinner.

There will be at least three complimentary social events throughout the course of the league:

  • Kickoff BBQ and an official Team Media Day where you will feel like an NBA star for a day

  • Networking Dinner/Gala

  1. Respect and Sportsmanship: All participants, including players, coaches, officials, and spectators, are expected to adhere to the highest standards of respect, sportsmanship, and fair play at all times.

  2. Zero Tolerance for Hate: The league maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy against any form of hate speech, discriminatory behavior, or actions that promote divisiveness. Any such behavior will result in immediate and appropriate actions taken by the league management.

  3. Verbal and Physical Assault: Verbal abuse, threats, or any form of physical assault directed towards players, coaches, officials, or other participants will not be tolerated. Such incidents will result in severe consequences, including possible suspension from the league.

  4. Creating a Positive Environment: Our league is committed to fostering a positive and inclusive environment for all participants. We encourage everyone to contribute to a respectful atmosphere where diversity is celebrated and unity is promoted.

  5. League Management's Authority: The league management reserves the right to address any behavior or incident that goes against these terms and conditions. Decisions made by the league management regarding disciplinary actions are final.

  6. Photography and Marketing Release Notice: By participating in the Jewnity Basketball 23/24 League, you understand and consent to the use of your likeness and images in photography and marketing material. These materials will be posted online and on social media platforms controlled by Jewnity Sports, including the broadcast of games on YouTube Live. Your consent to this release is required as part of league participation and allows us to share the excitement and camaraderie of our league with a wider audience.

  7. League Dress Code Notice: We take pride in being a Jewish league that celebrates our heritage and traditions. As part of our dress code, we kindly ask and encourage all players to wear a head covering (Kippah) and tzitit garments during league games. To support this tradition and foster a sense of unity and respect within our league, we are delighted to provide each player with a complimentary Kippah and a pair of sporty mesh tzitit at our kickoff event on October 15.By participating in the league, all members acknowledge and agree to abide by these terms and conditions, ensuring a safe, enjoyable, and respectful experience for all involved.

Once players register and pay their registration fee, refunds will not be issued. We encourage all participants to carefully consider their commitment before completing the registration process. In the event of extenuating circumstances, the league management will assess refund requests on a case-by-case basis until Oct 15, 2024.
