1. Both teams must meet at half court and pray before and after all games.
2. Maximum roster size is 10 players. Rosters are finalized by week 3. After week 3, no substitutions or drafts unless approved by league administration.
3. The league is strictly games, and no practices. Players are encouraged to arrive at least 30 minutes before game time to warm up with their team.
4. Teams are divided into divisions first by ages, then skill level based off the league administration’s discretion. If an organized team joins, they may be asked to move to their appropriate competitive division. Divisions and game lengths are as follows:
1. Ages 10-12; two twelve-minute halves with a running clock and 3-minute overtime.
2. Ages 13-15; two sixteen-minute halves with a running clock and 3-minute overtime.
3. Ages 16-18; two eighteen-minute halves with a running clock and 3-minute overtime.
4. Ages 18 & Up; two eighteen minute halves with a running clock and 3-minute overtime.
5. The clock will only stop in the first half during the last 2 minutes if a time out is called. The clock will only stop in the second half during the last 2 minutes on every dead ball or timeout called.
6. All time outs are 30 seconds. Each team is allowed 3 timeouts per game. Unused time outs expire at the end of regulation. If the game goes into overtime, each team will receive 1 time out. Clock stops on time outs during overtime.
7. During any inbounds, teams can only defend behind half court. Teams are only allowed to full-court press during the last 2 minutes of each half. Full court press is allowed during overtime play. The 18 and Up Division can press the whole game.
8. No zone defense. All man to man. Zone defense is only allowed in the 18 & Up Division.
9. If only 4 players from your team show up for the game, you are permitted to play with 4 players. Teams with a starting 5 can choose to play with 4 or 5 players at the discretion of the opposing coach. They should not be penalized for the other team's shortage of players.
10. Players foul out after 5 fouls.
11. Games must start on time. Games will be forfeited after a 10-minute grace period has expired. Habitual team tardiness will mean termination from the league and/or game suspension. Forfeiting two games is grounds for termination. If you need to cancel a game, contact us 24 hours prior to your game to avoid penalties.
12. If you do not have your uniform, you will not participate in the game. No exceptions.
13. Only teammates and coaches are allowed in the team box. A warning will be given, and if told repeatedly, a technical foul will be given. After this, the league administration has the right to immediately forfeit your game.
14. Only two designated coaches allowed for the season. No switching, adding, or changing. Stand in coaches on exception must be approved by league staff.
15. A captain must be designated for each team and should be acknowledged before the game starts. Only the captain and coaches are allowed to speak to the refs and score table. All major issues must be taken to the league administration by the coach and/or team captain only.
16. Players must show sportsmanship after the game to the opposing team. Players that walk off and do not show sportsmanship may result in the suspension of the next game.
17. ABSOLUTELY NO PROFANITY, FIGHTING, OR HAZING. THIS WILL RESULT IN A $10 TECHNICAL AS WELL AS POSSIBLE SUSPENSION OR TERMINATION. Harassing the referees, coaches and other volunteers will not be tolerated from PLAYERS, COACHES, FAMILIES OR SPECTATORS. Any of these or like actions will result in technical fouls, removal from park grounds and/or suspension from the league.
1. 1st technical foul: $10 fine and suspended for the remainder of the half. Opposing team receives two free throws and possession of the ball.
2. 2nd technical foul: $10 fine and suspended from the rest of the game and serves a one game suspension for the next scheduled game. Opposing team receives two free throws and possession of the ball.
3. The quantity or severity of a player’s technical foul(s) may lead to expulsion of the league upon further review by league administration.
4. A player or coach may be immediately suspended from game(s) or removed from the league on the first offense by the league administrator’s discretion. No refunds will be issued for registration fees in the event that a player is removed from the league.
18. Playoffs: Every team qualifies. Standings based on best records. Ties will be determined in the following order:
1. Head-to-head matchup against the teams involved in the tie.
2. Point differential. For teams involved in forfeit(s), the winning team will receive a plus 20 point differential, and the team that forfeited will get a negative 20 point differential.
19. In the event that games cannot be held outside due to weather, they may be moved inside or otherwise cancelled. Further communication on possible indoor facility is forthcoming and will be posted on our social media.
20. No outside music to be played around the basketball courts. Labor of Love provides music and commentating exclusive for the players and spectators.
