LPSA Conduct Policy
Overview
LPSA will enforce disciplinary action against anyone who breaches this policy. Our goal is to create a safe, positive environment for youth sports. All interactions at La Pine Sports Academy should be uplifting. Administrators, volunteers, and staff should address negative interactions and work to transform them into positive experiences.
Negative Reinforcement
While negative reinforcement may yield short-term results, it leads to long-term harm and negative self-image. Such reinforcement should only be a training tool for self-improvement. Instances of negative reinforcement must be reported for growth opportunities. Extreme negative behaviors will not be tolerated and can result in disciplinary action, including law enforcement involvement.
Physical Misconduct
No member may engage in physical misconduct against another. Such behavior will lead to immediate termination and law enforcement notification. Misconduct outside the organization will also result in removal and possible legal reporting.
Sexual Misconduct and Abuse
Members must not engage in sexual misconduct, either within or outside the organization. Those found guilty will be removed and may face legal consequences. Definitions of sexual misconduct will align with those set by the US Safesport Association.
Positive Experiences
Participants engage with LPSA for enjoyable sports experiences. We should celebrate these positive moments to inspire others and foster a community of positivity.
Self-Focused Growth
It is crucial for everyone involved—players, parents, volunteers, and staff—to acknowledge their imperfections and strive for personal growth. Those in leadership roles must continuously improve; stagnation may necessitate a hiatus or departure from the organization. Life events can affect growth, and changes in position should reflect these circumstances while upholding organizational ideals.
