The undersigned Participant desires to engage in activities organized by Henrico Senior Basketball League (the 'League') or any tournaments or Open Play, for purposes including but not limited to playing recreational basketball and/or participating in any capacity in the League or its activities, and being fully aware of the risk of injury and dangers inherent in said participation in the League, hereby elects voluntarily to participate in the League, and does hereby willingly enter into this Release, Waiver & Indemnity Agreement (this 'Agreement').
PARTICIPANT AGREES TO ASSUME ALL RISKS INHERENT TO AND/OR ASSOCIATED WITH PLAYING BASKETBALL SPECIFICALLY AND/OR PARTICIPATION IN THE LEAGUE'S ACTIVITIES GENERALLY, AND WAIVES ALL RIGHTS TO SUE THE LEAGUE, ITS ORGANIZERS, VOLUNTEERS, AND/OR OTHER INDIVIDUALS PARTICIPATING FOR INJURY, DEATH, LOSS, OR DAMAGE ASSOCIATED WITH SUCH RISKS.
Participant further agrees to indemnify and hold the League and its organizers, volunteers, and/or other individuals participating in or associated with the League harmless from any claim, suit, or judgment resulting from any injury, death, loss, or damage sustained by him/her or others, including any and all costs associated with defending such claim, suit or judgment, including attorney fees.
Participant further agrees to obey and promptly follow the instructions and safety rules of the League with regard to participation, and further agrees to wear all protective equipment that he/she may be instructed to wear.
By accepting this Agreement, Participant acknowledges and affirms he/she is of legal age to contract and that he/she is not under a legal disability. Participant further acknowledges and affirms that he/she has read and understands the terms of this Agreement, and that participating in the League is expressly conditioned upon agreement to these terms.
