The league is for both boys and girls of all skill levels and promotes a competitive, confidence-building, non-contact football experience. Players will learn the basic skills and fundamentals of football. 

Games will be played Saturday Mornings in three different cities (Grimsby, St. Catharines and Niagara Falls). The season will run mid April - mid June. 

If we don't reach the numbers we need for game to be run in St. Catharines we will make the decision to combine with Niagara Falls 3 weeks prior to the first game and let everyone know.


  • U16 (2009-2010)
  • U14 (2011-2012)
  • U12 (2013-2014)
  • U10 (2015-2016)
  • U8 (2017-2018)
  • U6 (2019-2020)


  • Player receives a game shirt, shorts and a set of flags. Jerseys are duo sizes and are machine washable (cold water) and hang to dry only. 
  • 8-10 week season, consist of approx 6 regular season games together with playoffs and championship day
  • Skills and Drills day prior to the season starting
  • Skills and Drills along with Coaches clinic will be held at Tim Hortons Field (Hamilton), date TBD
  • 12 player (max) rosters so everyone plays every game!
  • Practices are held an hour before the games or sometimes a coach may choose to run a practice during the week (during the week is not mandatory)
  • NO Tryouts. NO Drafts. Rosters are formed by 'friend' or 'coach' request. Single players will be placed on teams with some similarity and familiarity such as same school, neighborhood, organization, etc. as the other players on the team.
  • ALL coaches are volunteer parents and NOT provided by the league
  • Medals are awarded to the Champions of the grade/age division

Equipment Required:

  • Mouthguard is mandatory
  • Running shoes or cleats (either are fine)
  • Players provide their own water bottle for game
  • Shirts and Shorts (with no pockets) will be provided
  • Flag/Belt will be provided

Registration Fee:

New players $215 plus $22.50 for Football Ontario Insurance and applicable processing fee. 

Returning Players $182.50 plus $22.50 for Football Ontario Insurance and applicable processing fee.  - This applies to all players who participated in our 2023 spring/fall season and you do not require a new uniform (shirt, shorts & flags) as we will be using the same reversible jerseys as the previous season. If players require a new uniform than registration will be the regular costs as noted above. 

Registration cost includes: players receives a reversible game jersey, shorts and a set of flags. 8-10 week season, consist of approx 6 regular season games together with playoffs and championship day. Skills and Drills along with Coaches clinic will be held at Tim Hortons Field (Hamilton), date TBD (start of the season). All players receive one ticket to a Hamilton Ticat game during their season for NRFF group game day event.

We at Niagara Regional Flag Football offer the following refunds within these specific timelines. All refund requests must be submitted by email to your League Commissioner. A $25.00 admin fee will apply to all refund request. 

  • FULL or 100% registration fee refund (less credit card transaction fee & admin fee) as long as requested prior to skills and drills day which is the beginning of our season.  
  • NO REFUND request after week 2 of the season beginning. 


  • All coaches are volunteers and are not provided by the League.
  • All Coaches and Volunteers must provide the Commissioner of the league with a current background check.
