1. Eligibility

Registration is open to NDSC registered female players who meet the age requirements for each division as determined by Softball Canada for the 2026 season. Proof of age may be required at any time (birth certificate or equivalent).

2. Conduct & Discipline

Players, parents, guardians, and spectators are expected to abide by the Club’s Code of Conduct at all times.

Abusive or unsportsmanlike behaviour may result in suspension or removal from the League.

3. Risk Acknowledgment & Waiver

Softball is a physical sport with inherent risks of injury.

By registering, parents/guardians acknowledge these risks and release the Nipissing District Softball Club, its officers, coaches, volunteers, and affiliates from any liability for injury or loss, except where caused by gross negligence.

Parents/guardians authorize emergency medical treatment if necessary.

Definition of Activity:

Includes all softball-related activities, events, or services provided, arranged, organized, conducted, sponsored, or authorized by the Releasees, including:

participation in softball drills, games, and instruction
use of equipment and facilities
warm-ups, training, and demonstrations
travel to and from the Activity
any other activities connected to or related to the clinic.

Assumption of Risks:

I understand that participation in softball involves risks including but not limited to:

being struck by a ball or bat
collisions with other participants
slips, trips, or falls
weather-related conditions
equipment malfunction
my own physical condition or inexperience
negligence of other participants or the Releasees

I freely accept and assume all such risks and the possibility of personal injury, property damage, or loss.

Release of Liability, Waiver of Claims & Indemnity Agreement:

In consideration of being allowed to participate, I agree:

A. TO WAIVE ANY AND ALL CLAIMS against the Releasees and TO RELEASE THEM from liability for any injury, loss, or damage, including death, due to any cause whatsoever, including negligence.

B. TO HOLD HARMLESS AND INDEMNIFY THE RELEASEES from any liability for property damage or injury to a third party resulting from my participation.

C. This agreement is binding upon my heirs, next of kin, executors, administrators, and assigns.

D. This agreement is governed by the laws of Ontario.

E. Any litigation shall be brought solely within Ontario.

I confirm that I am not relying on any oral or written statements made by the Releasees regarding safety beyond what is stated in this agreement.

4. Media Release

By registering, you grant the Nipissing District Softball Club permission to photograph or video players during games and events for promotional purposes.

5. Privacy

All personal information collected during registration will be used only for Club administration and will not be shared without consent except as required by law or insurance providers. Registration is processed through the TeamLinkt platform. By registering, you acknowledge that your information will be stored and processed by TeamLinkt in accordance with their privacy policy and tersm of service.

6. Club Rights

The Nipissing District Softball Club reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or modify the sessions due to weather, availability, public health restrictions, or other unforeseen circumstances.
