Hello and welcome to Fall Ball 2026!

Fall Ball is open to eligible players of ALL levels - from brand new to ex-collegiate. This is a space for all players to practice their skills, make new friends, and enjoy the community of Rainbow City Softball.

Sub Information - Subs will not be assigned a team, but may sub on any team that NEEDS an additional player to fill a full roster for that game. Teams may not pick up to over 10 players with the exception of adding a pitcher.
- Playing time is not guaranteed. Subs bat last in the order.
- Sub pickup is not guaranteed and is often filled by the first player to respond in the chat (you are your own advocate)
- Refunds will not be granted

Game Schedule - We will play FRIDAY nights 6pm-10pm. Weekly games will run 9/4 - 10/16. Each team plays 2 games per night.

Medical Information - For insurance purposes we are required to ask for medical information such as health insurance. Health insurance is NOT required to play in our league. If you do not have health insurance or do not wish to share it, you may enter N/A or 0000 or whatever you wish. This information is accessible only by the RCS Board, and would be provided to our league insurance and medical professionals if necesssary.

Preferred/Legal Names - The registration form will ask for your preferred name and full legal name. We will share only your preferred name with the captains / league rosters, but are required to ask for full legal name for insurance purposes. The name on your TeamLinkt profile will be visible to your teammates through the TeamLinkt app. You may set this to whatever you wish. Please reach out with any questions or concerns in this area.

Terms & Conditions

Code of Conduct of Rainbow City Softball/Sports
All rostered players must sign the Code of Conduct prior to participation or be subject to game forfeiture or disqualification.

Conditions:
The Code of Conduct applies to all participants including players, coaches, managers, fans, and sponsors involved in, but not limited to, any Rain(bow) City Softball sponsored leagues, tournaments, and activities.
The Code applies to participant conduct before, during, and after all league-sponsored events. Including, but not limited to, games and league activities.
As a team representing RCS: The Code may apply when any Rain(bow) City Softball team is participating in any ASANA, IPride, or any other USA/ASA regulated tournament.
When participating in any ASANA, iPride, or other USA/ASA-regulated tournament, you are representing Rainbow City Softball. As such, our Code of Conduct applies—meaning that while we encourage having fun and playing hard, we also expect all players to uphold the values of respect, inclusivity, and good sportsmanship.
Participants could be held liable for damages caused by willful, destructive conduct.
The Code applies to players as individuals or as a team, and the penalties can be applied to any individual or an entire team.
It is the responsibility of each team manager to ensure that all participants know and adhere to the rules of the league, including the Code of Conduct.

I agree to:
Treat other participants, officials, fans, and volunteers with respect at all times.
Abide by all rules and regulations as laid out by the City of Seattle Parks Policy, in regard to alcohol use, smoking, and illegal drug use on city park premises.
Abide by all rules and regulations as laid out in the Rain(bow) City Softball bylaws and game day rules.
Abide by the official’s decisions and understand that no participant other than the team coach or manager shall discuss, in any manner, an official's decision.
Respect the park fields, sports equipment, and facility amenities.
Read and review the league rules and policies and adhere to them at all times.

I will not:
Play under another individual’s name, falsify name, or falsify address on an official roster.
Lay hands upon, push, shove, strike, or threaten any participants, officials, fans, and volunteers.
Make derogatory statements or remarks based on gender identity, gender expression, sex, race, age, religion, color, creed, disability, national origin, sexual orientation, marital status.
Engage in any kind of unsportsmanlike conduct with any participants, officials, fans, and volunteers such as booing and taunting; refusing to shake hands; or using excessive profane language or gestures.
Discuss publicly with spectators or my teammates in a derogatory manner any play, decision, or personal opinion of other players before, during, or after games.

Enforcement:
By agreeing to this Code of Conduct, I agree that if I fail to conform my conduct while attending, coaching, or participating in a Rain(bow) City Softball event, I will be subject to disciplinary action, including but not limited to the following in any order or combination: warning by official or Board of Directors, ejections, suspension from games or possibly removal from the League.

POLICIES of Rain(bow) City Sports

Sportsmanship: Individuals associated with the Rain(bow) City Softball organization are expected to conduct themselves in such a manner that represents the highest level of integrity. And to observe the tenets of good sportsmanship through fair treatment of others, teamwork, safety, and respect.

Anti-Discrimination: Rain(bow) City Softball does not discriminate on the basis of gender identity, gender expression, sex, race, age, religion, color, creed, disability, national origin, sexual orientation, marital status, or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state or local law. Any concerns about any type of discrimination should be directed to the RCS Commissioner or any other RCS Board member. Any RCS Board member, coach or player found to be engaging in any type of unlawful discrimination will be subject to corrective or disciplinary action at the discretion of the RCS Board of Directors.

Harassment: Rain(bow) City Softball also prohibits harassment based on a person’s gender identity, gender expression, sex, race, age, religion, color, creed, disability, national origin, sexual orientation, marital status or any other protected status under applicable federal, state or local law. RCS is committed to maintaining a positive and respectful atmosphere free of unlawful harassment. This includes words or actions that are offensive to another based on any protected status under applicable federal, state or local law. Unlawful harassment will not be tolerated, and all RCS Board members, coaches, and players are expected to treat others with respect at all times. If investigation of a complaint of harassment produces evidence that such behavior has occurred, appropriate corrective or disciplinary action will be taken at the discretion of the RCS Board of Directors.
I acknowledge, agree, and understand that:
Voluntarily and of my own free will, I elect to participate as a member of the softball team and the Rain(bow) City Softball League.

I understand that there are certain risks and hazards involved in participating in softball that may result in injury or death to me or other players including, but not limited to those hazards associated with weather conditions, playing conditions, equipment, and other participants.
I understand that sliding into base is dangerous to me and to other players and may result in serious injury or death.

I understand that the very nature of the game of softball is hazardous and risky, including, but not limited to, the acts of pitching, throwing, fielding and catching of the ball, the swinging of the bat, running, jumping, stretching, sliding, diving, and collisions with other players and with stationary objects, all of which can cause serious injury or death to me and to other players.

Further, I agree that in consideration for the right to play as a member of team designated below and in consideration for permission to play on the fields arranged for by the team or league:
I voluntarily elect to accept and assume all risks of injury incurred or suffered by me:
while practicing or playing as a member of the team so designated,
while serving in a non-playing capacity as a team member during practice or play by other teams or by other players on my team, and
while on or upon the premises of any and all of the fields arranged for by my team or league for practice or play.
I release, discharge, and agree not to sue the team and Rain(bow) City Softball League designated below, the field owner or other entity designated below, the Amateur Softball Association of America, or their owners, officers, agents, servants, associations, employees, or any person or entity connected with the team, league, field or Amateur Softball Association of America for any claim, damages, costs or cause of action which I have or may in the future have as a result of injuries or damages sustained or incurred by me from whatever cause including but not limited to the negligence, breach of contract or wrongful conduct of the parties hereby released.
READ BEFORE SIGNING
In consideration of being allowed to participate in any way in Rainbow City Sports athletic sports program, related events and activities, the undersigned acknowledges, appreciates, and agrees that:

The risks of injury and illness (ex: communicable diseases such as MRSA, influenza, and COVID-19) from the activities involved in this program are significant, including the potential for permanent paralysis and death, and while particular rules, equipment, and personal discipline may reduce these risks, the risks of serious injury and illness do exist; and,
I KNOWINGLY AND FREELY ASSUME ALL SUCH RISKS, both known and unknown, EVEN IF ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES or others, and assume full responsibility for my participation; and,
I willingly agree to comply with the stated and customary terms and conditions for participation. If, however, I observe any unusual significant hazard during my presence or participation, I will remove myself from participation and bring such to the attention of the nearest official immediately; and,
I, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, assigns, personal representatives and next of kin, HEREBY RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS Rainbow City Sports their officers, officials, agents, and/or employees, other participants, sponsoring agencies, sponsors, advertisers, and if applicable, owners and lessors of premises used to conduct the event (“RELEASEES”), WITH RESPECT TO ANY AND ALL INJURY, ILLNESS, DISABILITY, DEATH, or loss or damage to person or property, WHETHER ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES OR OTHERWISE, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
I understand that photographs (stills and video) of me may be taken during RCS events and game days and may be used for Rain(bow) City Sports publications.
An eligible player is defined as any woman, trans person, or non-binary person who is 18 years or older and feels as though they belong in our community of athletes.
