Kootenay Football League - FALL 2024 Information

**Please register for your respective community, not as an individual.

Targeted Age Groups/Division: Gr. 4-6 & Gr. 7-9

Who: Grade 4-9 students (Fall of 2024)

Dates/Times: Practices will be 1-2 day per week and will be determined by local coaches. Changes may occur if a different date and time serves better in a particular location. Once coaches are registered and availability is confirmed, we will post the practice days.

Season Opening Camp:
Tentaively September 8. Time TBD.
Location 1 - Cranbrook. Working on the potential for a West location.
More details to come.

Gamedays are dependent on team numbers. Games/minitournaments will occur on Sunday afternoons.
In an attempt to provide more opportunities to play during the fall season, we are adding an additional gameday weekend to have 5 gamedays.

Current Sundays available for games/events are:
Sept. 15, 22, 29 / Oct. 6, 20, 27 (no games on thanksgiving)
We are targeting our Kootenay Bowl plus four game days and one camp day.
Some non-weekend or non-tourney games with closest opponents may occur if there are a high number of teams.

*NEW FOR FALL 2024!!
We are working towards expanding our Kootenay Bowl to a two-day event (Saturday & Sunday - Oct. 26/27) to include a more robust round-robin schedule with breaks, an all-star event, season awards presentation, and a Sunday playoff bracket. This goes away from the norm of our one-day only events, but as we continue to grow in numbers, more time to play games, and the opportunity to have fun events incorporated into the weekend were areas we want to explore. More details to come, but we wanted to flag that change and hear any feedback!

Equipment: Cleats (preferred) or athletic footwear
Cost: $260 per player (Includes NFL Flag Jersey, shorts, flags and ball).
