2024 League Information

The spring league runs from May 3rd to June 23rd, 2024 every Friday (14/15 division & 16/17 division) Saturday (4/5yr old division to 12/13 division) at the U of R & Regina Rugby Fields. Game times are between 6-10pm (Fridays - 14/15 division & 16/17 division) 8:30am – 2:30pm (Saturdays 4/5yr old division to 12/13 division). Schedules vary by team.

The cost to play is $230 which covers everything and is due immediately upon registration. Fee includes the following: Reversible Jersey, Shorts, Flags, Mouthguard, 22Fresh Shirt, Team Picture, Subway Lunch Gift Certificate, League Keepsake, One Entry Into the Football Saskatchewan Spring Lottery, Football Saskatchewan Membership, Football Canada Membership, Accident Insurance, Liability Insurance, Quality Trained Refs, and Field Rentals.

Team assignments are random by school / area. NO special requests are allowed. Teams are distributed to ensure even numbers on each team (10-12 players/team).

Players are placed in divisions based on their age as of December 31, 2024. Practice schedules are at the discretion of each teams head coaches. We do this so that each coach can schedule practices that are at the most convenient locations and times for their team(s)

Beyond May 12th: No refunds issued

We require the hospitalization number strictly for emergency purposes. It is given to your child's coach and is on file with the league in case there is an emergency and your child is required medical services. All our coaches are required to sign a confidentially form to ensure personal info is not shared/discussed with any parties besides the league office. All info is encrypted at our offices and info is deleted after the season. Provision of health card # isn't a requirement however if anything is to happen at a game or practice we would not be able to assist EMS with his info if there was an emergency and neither parent was present/available at the time. The choice is always yours and we always respect any decision a parent will make in this regard.
A camp to develop the fundamental skills used in the game of flag football. Passing, catching, running patterns, rushing, flagging, and defensive skills will all be covered. Who: Boys and Girls ages 6 to 13 (As of Dec 31/24). When: April 1st - 5th, Monday to Friday, 9-12pm or 1-4pm Where: Affinity Plex (Indoor Turf Facility) Cost: $235.00 Registration Opens: January 8th, 2024 (Upon being full, players are added to a waitlist within their age grouping)
Coaches are obviously so important to our league, and to the kids who look up to them – without them, there can be no team. Refs receive $15/hr to start and increases annually if they return. If interested or have a son/daughter who'd be interested please email us their name and info afterwards.
All sandwiches will be served with cheese, lettuce, tomato and cucumber. Toppings (Mustard and Mayonnaise) will be served on the side.

In consideration of the Regina Youth Flag Football League and Football Saskatchewan is accepting the application of those you register to participate in flag football related events and activities, I / we, the parent(s) / guardian(s) of the players to be registered, hereby give my / our approval to his / her participation in any and all the activities and programs of the Regina Youth Flag Football League.

I / we agree to RELEASE, SAVE HARMLESS, AND INDEMNIFY Regina Youth Flag Football League, the NFL, Football Saskatchewan, it's Directors, Officers, Employees, Representatives, Sponsors, Coaches, and Agents from all claims, actions, costs, expenses, and demands in respect to death, injury, loss or damage to my son/daughter or our property whosoever and howsoever caused, arising out of or in conjunction with my child's participation. I further acknowledge that I am aware of the risks inherent in participating in the sport of Flag Football and I assume the risks and waive notice of all conditions, dangers and agree that this release shall bind my heir, executors, administrators and assigns.

I the Parent / Guardian of the applicant have read this release and agree to Indemnify the Regina Youth Flag Football League, the NFL, and Football Saskatchewan, its servants, agents, or employees from any claims or demands, which might be made against the Regina Youth Flag Football League, NFL, RCX Sports, Football Saskatchewan out of or in consequence or participation by the applicant. You also allow the league to use any photographs or video taken to be displayed on the website, social media pages, or on any league promotional materials.
