Welcome to the registration page for SCISA's 2026 Thursday league!

Thursday League General Information:

  • Mixed skillsets from intermediate to experienced playing together
  • There are 8 teams with 13 players per team (same as 2025 season)
  • One 9 inning game per Thursday (Games begin at 6:15pm)
  • 10 week regular season with playoffs
  • Includes jersey and membership card
  • Instead of a standard draft, teams will be built by committee for competitive fairness (more details to come around the how and the when) but our goal is increasingly balanced teams.
  • You will still be able to “buddy” with one other player
  • We kindly request that if you cannot commit to 70% of games (missing no more than 3 weeks), that you register as a Substitute player, or a Non-Playing Member

A Note About Thursday play:

The Thursday division is intended to be more competitive than Sundays, and with that comes a greater emphasis on player safety, game flow, and consistency of play. To help ensure a positive and safe experience for everyone, players registering for Thursdays should feel comfortable with the following:

  • Ability to throw between bases
  • Catching and fielding balls hit at moderate speed (including balls that reach the outfield)
  • Making contact at bat at least 50% of the time
  • A solid understanding of the rules of the game
  • Prior softball or baseball playing experience

If a player registers for Thursdays and, once play begins, it becomes clear that the division is not the best fit from a safety or experience standpoint, the Board will connect with the player to discuss options. Wherever possible, we will work with the player to support a transition into the Sunday division, where appropriate. If a transition is not possible or not desired, a full refund will be provided.

Basic Information / Questions

Relevant Notes: Putting in a buddy doesn't guarantee they will get registered. Buddy requests must be reciprocated by both parties in order to be effective.

Availability & Preference Questions

If you cannot make 70% of your team's games (missing more than 3 weeks of play), please register as a substitute player or a non-playing member.
Please note that coaches will try their best to accommodate preferred positions, but we cannot guarantee that you will always play where you want.

Softball Experience-related Questions

The following questions help us gather a better understanding of your experience and skillsets so that we can provide. more accurate player ratings and better balanced teams.

iPride Database Upload (Accept/Decline)

As a member of International Pride Softball (iPride), SCISA members are eligible to participate in 30+ tournaments across North America, including the Gay Softball World Series. To be eligible, players must have a profile in the iPride database that includes basic information. Our approach is to send the minimum information required for all SCISA members who give consent (first initial, last name, date of birth, email address, and current rating). iPride has provided a PDF linked below with FAQs about how data is stored, protected and who has access to it. Recognizing that not all SCISA members participate in these events, we ask those who opt-in to pay a $5 fee so more of the annual cost is offset by members who benefit most directly from this access

Volunteering & Support Questions

We are currently just gauging interest in coaching for Thursdays as we explore how we adjust the team composition and draft. We will be in touch with everyone who has expressed interest in the coming weeks.

Additional Questions

The following questions are confidential and visible only to the SCISA Board. Your responses help us better understand our membership and the community we serve, and allow us to thoughtfully and accurately represent our league’s demographics in funding applications and grant reporting. Thank you for helping us do this work with care and intention.
