Thank you for accepting our terms and conditions! Here they are for your reference. 

• All SEMSL registration fees are non‑refundable after the registration deadline of April 18th.
• Refund requests made on or before April 18th may be considered at the sole discretion of the league, and any approved refund will be subject to a 25% administrative fee.
• Participation in SEMSL games, tournaments, practices, events, and any activities held on fields or facilities rented or used by SEMSL involves inherent risks, including bodily injury, property damage, or other loss, and you voluntarily participate with full knowledge of these risks.
• You waive, release, and discharge SEMSL and its officers, directors, employees, volunteers, organizers, officials, and representatives from all claims, liabilities, demands, actions, or causes of action arising from injuries, illness, death, or property damage that may occur during or as a result of SEMSL activities, whether caused by negligence or otherwise, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
• SEMSL is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property.
• You assume full responsibility for all risks associated with participation and agree to indemnify and hold harmless SEMSL from any claims brought by or on behalf of you or any third party related to your participation.
• Outdoor field conditions may vary, including uneven surfaces, debris, weather‑related hazards, or lighting conditions, and you acknowledge these additional risks.
• You authorize SEMSL representatives to provide basic first aid or to coordinate emergency care if necessary and accept responsibility for any associated costs.
• You acknowledge that all players must be properly registered in the SPN insurance system and that it is your responsibility to ensure you are registered. SEMSL is not liable for any injury, loss, or cost resulting from improper or incomplete SPN insurance registration.
• Photos or videos may be taken during SEMSL games or events for league use, and if you do not wish to be photographed or recorded, you must notify commissioner@semsl.ca before participating.
• You agree to conduct yourself in a positive, solution‑oriented, and respectful manner that supports a fun, safe, and inclusive slo‑pitch environment.
• You agree not to engage in abusive, aggressive, discriminatory, dangerous, or otherwise harmful behaviour.
• Violations of the Code of Conduct may result in suspension or expulsion from the league with no refund, at the sole discretion of the SEMSL Commissioner.
• You agree to follow all SEMSL house rules, the official game cancellation policy, and all guidelines published on the SEMSL website. Repeated failure to follow these rules may result in suspension or expulsion.
• You acknowledge that teams are responsible for providing bases, cones, measuring tapes, strike mat, bats, and gloves. SEMSL supplies at least six new balls each season, but teams are ultimately responsible for ensuring they have all necessary SPN‑compliant equipment at each game.
• You agree to use only SPN‑approved bats and equipment while participating in SEMSL activities.
• All terms, rules, waivers, and responsibilities listed here apply to all SEMSL games, tournaments, events, practices, league functions, and any activity organized, overseen, or held by SEMSL on any rented or designated playing space.
• If any portion of this agreement is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
