Welcome to the South Dundas United FC Winter Futsal 2024-25 season

Please note that our registration fees for 2024 have increased from $45 to $50 per player per season. This is due to inflationary costs due to field paint, uniform, and equipment purchases. Other clubs that offer similar programs charge much higher rates. This is only the second time since 2012 that South Dundas United/South Dundas Soccer has increased our registratation price. Without the generous support from our sponsors, our registration fees would also be much higher.

This registration session will allow you to complete contact information, sign up for volunteering, and submit payment for the 2024-25 South Dundas United Winter Futsal season.

Please read through each page carefully to ensure that all information is provided accurately.

To complete registration through our secure site, please have your credit card or banking information available. Interac Email Transfer is also an option. If you are applying for Jumpstart or other funding to cover fees, please mark 'Other' as the payment option. Email transfer of payment can be sent via your online banking to 'info@southdundasunited.ca'. If a password is asked for in sending an e-transfer, please use 'soccer' as the password.

Any questions regarding our 2024 soccer programs may be sent to club president Phil Blancher at president@southdundasunited.ca or by phone at 613-543-4020.

Player Information

Here we ask for some specific details about the player you are registering.

Please select the shirt size that approximately fits with your player's current shirt size, and maybe add a tiny bit to account for growing.
South Dundas United is community-minded. Often we work with local schools in South Dundas in supporting their programs. This includes donating spare/old equipment to the schools for their programming, offering referees and use of equipment to support events, etc. Knowing where players are coming from helps SDU know where to support in the future.
Please disclose any life threatening allergies, medical issues, concerns or diagnosis that may impact your soccer player's health or ability to play. Responses are kept in strict confidence and only shared with the team officials for your player's team and the club registrar – in accordance with our privacy policy.
SDUFC policy is to roster siblings in the same league/age range on the same team. Some players may wish to play on separate teams from their siblings. If you would like your player and their sibling to play on separate teams, please indicate "yes" to this question.
How many years has this player played soccer? Please take into account time spent in other soccer programs or at school.
From time to time, South Dundas United will offer low-or-no cost goalkeeper training or weeknight training clinics for players to develop skills. If your player is interested in opportunities like these, please indicate "yes".

Other Commitments

It's Winter, and life is busy. In this section are questions about possible absenses and other commitments that may impact your player's attendance. Please answer these with the best knowledge or expectations to the winter months. If something changes after registration, contact info@southdundasunited.ca to update these responses.

SDU requires this information as teams are balanced to try to ensure that players with outside commitments are balanced across teams in a league so if there is a baseball tournament or something, that one team is not disproportionately short players.
South Dundas United is NOT a member of Ontario Soccer. As such, we have soccer players register with SDU, and also play elsewhere. In order to balance players who may be absent for other club commitments across the teams in a league, we ask for this. SDU welcomes all players from all clubs. We do not require to know what club players also play for, only that there may be players who have multiple commitments so that SDU players are balanced. This will hopefully avoid instances in the past where a team is affected by other commitments causing absenses.

Volunteering

Volunteers are important to all programs like South Dundas United's soccer programs. From coaching to helping in the canteen, lining soccer fields to scorekeeping. There are lots of opportunities available and many hands make light work. If you or your soccer player is interested in volunteering, please indicate so in this section.

Would you like to volunteer with South Dundas United in a capacity other than as a team or match official?
Volunteer opportunities for players age 11 and older are available. This includes coaching younger players, helping with setting up equipment, and in our canteen. Hours from age 13 on are credited towards their high school graduation requirements.

Photo Consent

South Dundas United volunteers/board members may take photographs at games or events to assist in promoting this club and the sport of soccer. Photo consent is specifically for SDU use. Team officials and board members will take all appropriate and possible steps to honour photo consent defined below. These photo permissions are shared with legitimate media organizations when their representatives are covering SDU events. SDU is not responsible for the actions of spectators respecting photo consent.

South Dundas United is permitted to use photos with your player on its website and online platforms (excluding social media.).
South Dundas United is permitted to use photos with your player in print publications/media.
South Dundas United is permitted to use photos with your player on its social media platforms including Facebook/Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), and Tiktok.
