Thank you for your interest in the Toronto Pride Hockey Tournament 2025! We can’t wait to welcome you for an incredible weekend of hockey, community, and Pride.

This is a tournament intended for queer folks and specifically for people who identify as women, trans, non-binary, Two Spirit, and gender expansive. If you do not identify with the above, we still encourage you to come watch and volunteer and be part of the weekend. Help us continue to create space for marginalized players who haven't had as much opportunity or access to hockey, we are also holding back spots for BIPOC folks. Please reach out to info@torontopridehockey.ca to aquire one of these spots and bypass the waitlist.

General Information
Our tournament features three tiers of play, ensuring a fun and fair experience for all players. Accurate self-reporting of your skill level and playing history is essential. For the enjoyment and safety of all participants, our executive team reserves the right to move players between teams and divisions.

Divisions

Recreational: A no slap shot division for a mix of beginner and intermediate (up to B level) players. If you are newer to hockey or are an intermediate player that enjoys helping develop newer players, this is the division for you!
Competitive: Also a no slap shot division, this division is a mixture of intermediate and high-level players. If you are a novice/intermediate player that enjoys playing up or an advanced/expert player just looking to have a good time, this is the division for you.
Elite: The only slap shot division, this division will have exclusively high-level players. If you played BB or higher and want to go all in, this is the division for you. Note that the Elite Division will be played exclusively on Olympic-sized ice.

Neck guards are mandatory for all divisions.

Skill Level Guidelines

Beginner – Less than 3 years of experience, can skate/start/stop safely
Must select Recreational Division
Novice – 3+ years in a recreational league, understands positioning, some tournament experience
Recommended Recreational Division, can select Competitive Division
Intermediate – Experience in house leagues, tournaments, or officiated games
Can select Recreational or Competitive Division
Intermediate+ – Played at a B or Select level, some travel hockey experience
Can select Recreational or Competitive Division
Advanced – Played BB travel hockey, understands gameplay tactics
Can select Elite or Competitive Division
Expert – Played A or AA travel hockey, varsity (OUA/NCAA), or professionally
Can select Elite or Competitive Division
