Hockey Tournament: Terms & Conditions

By registering for the [Tournament Name] ("the Tournament"), participants (players, coaches, and any other individuals associated with a team) agree to comply with the following terms and conditions. Please read carefully:

1. Eligibility

Players must meet the age and tier requirements for their respective division (U15, U18) as set by the Tournament organizers.
Each player must be registered with the Trails West Hockey Association to participate.
Teams are subject to approval by the Tournament organizers based on the roster provided.

2. Registration & Payment

All players must be registered before the registration deadline (March 16, 2025). No player will be permitted to participate without proper registration.
Payment for registration must be received by the specified due date. Failure to pay by the deadline may result in the team’s removal from the Tournament.

3. Waitlist Policy

A waitlist will be created once the registration for the Tournament reaches full capacity.
If a player withdraws from the tournament, a player from the waitlist will be contacted based on their position on the waitlist and given the opportunity to register in their place.
Players on the waitlist are not guaranteed a spot in the Tournament, but will be notified promptly if a spot becomes available.

4. Code of Conduct

All participants (players, coaches, team staff, and spectators) are expected to behave in a respectful and sportsmanlike manner. Abusive or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated. Please refer to the Trails West Code of Conduct TWHA Code of Conduct Formal - 2024 - 2025.pdf
The Tournament organizers reserve the right to remove any individual or team from the event for violations of the code of conduct.
Participants must follow all rules and guidelines set forth by the Tournament organizers and the facility.

5. Player Safety

All players must wear proper hockey equipment, including but not limited to, helmets, gloves, skates, and pads.
The Tournament organizers will ensure that safety protocols are followed, but participants are responsible for their own health and safety during the event.
By participating, all players, coaches, and staff assume the inherent risks of injury associated with the sport of hockey.

6. Schedule & Format

The Tournament organizers will provide a schedule prior to the event. While we strive to ensure that the schedule is adhered to, there may be changes or delays due to unforeseen circumstances.
The format and rules of play will be provided to participants in advance, and teams are expected to familiarize themselves with the structure.

7. Photography & Media

Participants may be photographed or recorded during the Tournament. By registering, participants consent to the use of their image, voice, and likeness in promotional material, media, and other related content.
Participants may request not to be photographed or recorded by informing the Tournament organizers.

8. Cancellation or Postponement

The Tournament organizers reserve the right to cancel or postpone the event due to unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited to weather, health advisories, or emergencies.
In the event of cancellation or postponement, the Tournament organizers will communicate changes and any refund or rescheduling policies

9. Amendments

The Tournament organizers reserve the right to amend, add, or modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Any changes will be communicated to all registered participants.
