  1. All players are required to pay at a minimum, the non-refundable Hockey Canda Insurance fee of $60 (incuded in fees) at the time of registration. No player will be added to a roster or permitted on the ice until which time the insurane has been paid.
  2. Tryout fees must be paid at the time of registration (Hockey Canada Insurance is included). No player will be added to the Tryout roster or permitted on the ice until which time the Try-out fees have been paid.

BC HOCKEY SOCIAL MEDIA GUIDELINES
BC Hockey, member partner of Hockey Canada, is committed to providing an environment to lead, develop and promote positive hockey experiences. Any form of harassment using electronic devices commonly known as cyber bulling by coaches, other parents, volunteers, officials, bench staff, other teammates and competitors will not be tolerated.

What is cyberbullying?
Cyberbullying is the use of any electronic communication device to convey a message in any form (text, image, audio or video) that defames, intimidates, harasses of is otherwise intended to harm, insult or humiliate another in a deliberate, repeated or hostel and unwanted manner under a person’s true or false identity. In addition, any communication of this form that disputes or prevents a safe and positive environment may also be considered cyberbullying.

Social Media Guidelines
a) BC Hockey holds the entire BC Hockey membership who participates in social media and networking to the same standards as it does for all other forms of media including radio, television and print.
b) Comments or remarks of an inappropriate nature which are detrimental to a team, Associations, and Leagues, BC Hockey or an individual will not be tolerated and will be subject to disciplinary action.
c) It should be recognized that social media comments are on the record and instantly published and available to the public and media. Everyone including Association and/or team personnel, players, corporate partners and the media can review social media communications. You should conduct yourself in an appropriate and professional manner at all times.
d) Refrain from divulging confidential information of a personal or team related nature. Avoid revealing business or game strategy that could provide another team or individual a competitive advantage. Furthermore, do not discuss injury information about any player. Only divulge information that is considered public.
e) Use your best judgement at all times – pause before posting. Once your comments are posted they cannot be retracted. Ultimately, you are solely responsible for your comments, and they are published for the public record.
f) If requested to participate in an online network, as a direct result of your affiliation with or participation in Hockey in BC and the Yukon, BC Hockey recommends that you request approval from your team or Minor Hockey Association.

Social Media Violations
The following are examples of conduct through social media and networking mediums that are considered violations of the BC Hockey social media policy and may be subject to disciplinary action by the team, Minor Hockey Association, League and/or BC Hockey.
a) Any statement deemed to be publicly critical of Association officials or detrimental to the welfare of a member of a team, association, league, BC Hockey or individual.
b) Divulging confidential information that may include, but is not limited to the following:
• Player injuries.
• Trades or other player movement.
• Game strategies; or
• Any other matter of a sensitive nature to a member of a team, association, league, BC Hockey or an individual
c) Negative or derogatory comments about any team, association, league, BC Hockey staff, volunteers, programs, stakeholder, players or any BC Hockey member.
d) Any form of bullying, harassment or threats against players or officials.
e) Photographs, video or comments promoting negative influences or criminal behavior, including but not limited to:
• Drug use.
• Alcohol abuse.
• Public intoxication.
• Hazing.
• Sexual exploitation; etc.
f) Online activity that contradicts the current policies of Hockey Canada, BC Hockey or any of its member associations.
g) Inappropriate, derogatory, racist, or sexist comments of any kind, in keeping with BC Hockey policies and regulations on these matters.
h) Online activity that is meant to alarm other individuals or to misrepresent fact or truth.

I agree that I have read and agree to abide by the rules and guidelines set out by BC Hockey and TriPort Minor Hockey Association in regard to any social media and online activity. Failure to do so will result in immediate disciplinary action that could result in an indefinite suspension to parents or players.
CODE OF CONDUCT PARENT
It is the intention of this CONTRACT to promote fair play and respect for all participants within the Association. All parents must sign this pledge so their child is allowed to participate in hockey and must continue to observe the principles of Fair Play.
FAIR PLAY CODE
• I will not force my child to participate in hockey.
• I will remember that my child plays hockey for his or her enjoyment, not mine.
• I will encourage my child to play by the rules and to resolve conflict without resorting to hostility or violence.
• I will teach my child that doing one's best is as important as winning so that my child will never feel defeated by the outcome of the game.
• I will make my child feel like a winner every time by offering praise for competing fairly and hard. I will never ridicule or yell at my child for making a mistake or losing a game.
• I will remember that children learn by example. I will applaud good plays and performances by both my child's team and their opponents.
• I will never question the official's judgment or honesty in public. I recognize officials are being developed in the same manner as players.
• I will support all efforts to remove verbal and physical abuse from children's hockey games.
• I will respect and show appreciation for the volunteers who give their time to hockey

VIAHA By-Law 700 (h), suspension in excess of sixty (60) days as per VIAHA By-Law 700 (j) or termination or expulsion from membership.
I agree to abide by the principles of the FAIR PLAY CODE as set by Hockey Canada and supported by the Vancouver Island Amateur Hockey Association and its member MHAs. I understand that failure to abide by these principles will result in disciplinary action which can include, inter alia, suspension for up to sixty (60) days.
I also agree to abide by the rules, regulations, and decisions as set by the Vancouver Island Amateur Hockey Association and TriPort Minor Hockey Association.
I understand that failure to abide by these principles will result in disciplinary action which could result in an indefinite suspension from TriPort Minor Hockey Association activities.

RELEASE:

In consideration of this application to play under the auspices of TriPort Minor Hockey Association, I do hereby for myself, heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, remise release and forever discharge Hockey Canada, BC Hockey, VIAHA and TriPort Minor Hockey Association, its officers, or anyone acting on their behalf from all manner of litigation, damage claims, or demands in law or equity which I may have or acquire by reason of injury to the player, loss or damage to property, which may occur during or by reason of participation in the activities of TriPort Minor Hockey Association.

DISCLOSURE:

By submitting this registration form, we hereby authorize TriPort Minor Hckey Association to disclose any and all information herein contained to such persons, firms or corporations as the TriPort Minor Hockey Association shall, in its sole discretion, determine.


The following fees are non-refundable:

  • Hockey Canada insurance fee for players
  • Tryout fees 
  • 5 Trial sessions are non-refundable.

Any player withdrawling from hockey will be refunded a pro-rated amount based on the date they stopped attending.
