1. Registration Requirements

  1. This is a men's church basketball league only; players must be 18 years old or older with proof of ID unless specified otherwise by the Triumphant League owner.
  2. All players must pay the registration fee before the season starts.
  3. The fee per individual player will be $75 each. There will be no refunds of registration fees.
  4. The minimum number of players per team is 8, and the maximum number of players is 12.
  5. For individuals who do not have a team, the registration fee is the same and Triumphant League will place you on an existing team needing more players.
  6. Players can only be added to your team during the season if your team has already paid the registration fee for all the roster spots. The number of players cannot exceed the number of paid roster spots at any time.
  7. At least 5 players for each team must be present to play a game. If a team does not have 5 to play, the games must be 4 on 4 and under the same rules and clock. Teams must fill out the roster and turn it in to the scorekeeper no later than 5 minutes before a game. No forfeit unless the team has only one player and no other team can loan players to compete. There will be no player loans in the playoffs.
  8. All teams are encouraged to provide their own jerseys, if a team is unable to provide jerseys Triumphant League will loan jerseys that would need to be returned after the game.
  9. Teams must have colored jerseys with legal numbers on the back of the jersey. Any player who does not meet this requirement will not be allowed to play. Numbers must be permanently affixed to the jersey, not tapped, or pinned on. Also, numbers applied with Marks-a-Lot or other ink pens will not be allowed. Legal numbers are any number between 0 and 99.
  10. Each team must have a designated team captain. This team captain can be a player/team captain, player/coach, or coach that has a registered team and has a minimum of 8 players for the roster and has paid the registration fee for each player.
  11. Each team can bring their own warm-up balls, Triumphant League will provide the official game ball and additional warm-up balls.

  2. The season length will span over 2 or 3 months, depending on the number of teams that register.
  3. Each team will play 6 games in the regular season.
  4. All teams will make the playoffs. The playoffs are single-game elimination.

The clock will stop on all time-outs or in the last 2 minutes of the game, on fouls, or dead balls unless it is a 20-point deficit.  All games will run for a full 40 minutes, regardless of the score difference. If teams are late, the clock will continue to run until players arrive or the late team announces a forfeit. If they do not forfeit, the game will resume as normal when at least four players from each team are available. Both teams will have the remaining time to play. Overtime will be 2 minutes, the clock will stop on timeouts, fouls, or dead balls. Each team will receive 1 timeout in overtime. 1st overtime is 2 minutes, 2nd overtime is 1 minute, 3rd overtime is 1 minute sudden death, and the first team to score will win. 1 timeout per team in the 1st and 2nd overtime. This is continued after 2 technical fouls only if the team with the player in technical foul trouble only has 5 or 4 active players.
  7. If a player comes late in the second half it is a technical foul unless the player checks into the game before the first half ends. No transition take foul until the last 2 minutes of the game or overtime. A take foul will result in the fouled player receiving a foul shot and his team receiving possession of the ball.
  8. On a free throw, no player shall occupy the fourth lane space on either side of the free-throw lane. Players occupying any of the legally marked lane spaces on each side of the lane may break the vertical plane of the outside edge of a lane-space boundary once the ball leaves the shooter's hands.
  9. Players not in legally marked lane space shall remain behind the free throw line extended and behind the three-point field-goal line until the ball leaves the shooter's hands.
  10. All substitutions will be signaled by the referee on a dead ball or during a timeout.
  11. Players are responsible for substituting themselves in and out of games. Teams are responsible for making sure every person gets an adequate amount of playing time.
  12. Dunking the ball will be allowed in Triumphant League Men’s Church Basketball. Anyone hanging on the rim will be charged personally with an unsportsmanlike conduct foul, and any points scored will not be allowed. Players will be liable for damage occurring to the goals at any time. Any player damaging a goal can be suspended until restitution has been made. Any player, who damages a goal to the point where play cannot be continued, will cause his team to forfeit.
  13. If a player is thrown out of the game for receiving two technical fouls, they must leave the premises.
