Get ready, young athletes! We’re excited to announce a fantastic program designed to prepare you for the Dodgeball Canada Youth Championships happening on October 17-18th in Regina, Saskatchewan. This is your chance to compete against some of the best youth teams in Canada, and we want you to be fully prepared to bring your A-game! The program will consist of two hour mini training camps every second Tuesday from the end of June until October.

Location: Canadian Brewhouse Corporate Gym (1112 95 Street SW)

Cost: $200, which includes registration for the tournament and a jersey.

Dates: June 30, July 14 & 28, August 11 & 25, September 8 & 22, October 6

Time: 5 - 7pm 

Format: The mini training camps will focus on essential skills, strategic play, and scrimmages to help you put your learning into action.

We will be actively seeking additional sponsorships to help minimize travel and accommodation costs, making this an amazing opportunity for everyone involved! AMATEUR ATHLETIC WAIVER

RELEASE OF LIABILITY

In consideration of being allowed to participate in any way in Edmonton Youth Dodgeball sports programs, related events and activities, the undersigned, as a Parent/Guardian on behalf of their child, acknowledges, appreciates, and agrees that:

The risk of injury from the activities involved in this program is significant, including the potential for permanent paralysis and death, and while particular rules, equipment, and personal discipline may reduce this risk, the risk of serious injury does exist; and,

On behalf of my child, I KNOWINGLY AND FREELY ASSUME ALL SUCH RISKS, both known and unknown, EVEN IF ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES or others, and assume full responsibility for my child’s participation; and,

I willingly agree to comply with the stated and customary terms and conditions for participation. If, however, I observe any unusual significant hazard during my presence or participation, I will remove my child from participation and bring such to the attention of the nearest official immediately; and,

I, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, assigns, personal representatives and next of kin, HEREBY RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS Edmonton Youth Dodgeball, their officers, officials, agents, and/or employees, other participants, sponsoring agencies, sponsors, advertisers, and if applicable, owners and lessors of premises used to conduct the event (“RELEASEES”), WITH RESPECT TO ANY AND ALL INJURY, DISABILITY, DEATH, or loss or damage to person or property, WHETHER ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES OR OTHERWISE, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

SAFE SPORT COMMITMENT

Edmonton Youth Dodgeball formally adopts the Universal Code of Conduct to Prevent and Address Maltreatment in Sport (UCCMS), as amended from time to time. By participating in our programs, all members, coaches, and volunteers agree to abide by the standards set forth in the UCCMS and acknowledge that any breach of these standards may result in disciplinary action or removal from the organization. AUDIO/PHOTO/VIDEO MEDIA RELEASE

I grant permission to Edmonton Youth Dodgeball and its agents or employees to use photographs and/or video and audio taken of me. These images may be used in educational and documentary materials such as Public Service Announcements, Grant Applications, Video Documentaries and both printed and online newsletters. Furthermore, I authorise the use of my child’s image, likeness, and voice for all program promotion, materials, and any other purposes in connection with the program deemed appropriate and necessary by Edmonton Youth Dodgeball.

I hereby agree to release, defend, and hold harmless Edmonton Youth Dodgeball and its agents or employees, including any firm publishing and/or distributing the finished product in whole or in part, whether on paper, via electronic media, or on Websites, from any claim, damages, or liability arising from or related to the use of the photographs/video, including but not limited to any misuse, distortion, blurring, alteration, optical illusion, or use in composite form, either intentionally or otherwise, that may occur or be produced in taking, processing, reduction, or production of the finished product, its publication, or distribution.

I am the parent/guardian of the registrant and have read this release before signing below, fully understanding the contents, meaning, and impact of this release. I understand that I am free to address any specific questions regarding this release by submitting those questions in writing prior to signing, and I agree that my failure to do so will be interpreted as a free and knowledgeable acceptance of the terms of this release.

I HAVE READ THE RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK AGREEMENT, SAFE SPORT COMMITMENT, AND AUDIO/PHOTO/VIDEO MEDIA RELEASE AND FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS TERMS, UNDERSTAND THAT I HAVE GIVEN UP SUBSTANTIAL RIGHTS BY SUBMITTING IT, AND SUBMIT IT FREELY AND VOLUNTARILY WITHOUT ANY INDUCEMENT.

We will register you now and send you an email closer to the start of the season when payment is is required.

  1. Requests for a refund will only be considered for the following scenarios:
    1. If, under the 10 days prior to the first day of the program, an injury prohibits the athlete from participating. This will be subject to a full refund minus a $30 administration fee.
    2. During the season, an injury of the athlete makes them unable to complete the season. This will be subject to a prorated refund.
  2. There will be no refunds provided for sessions where the gym booking was cancelled by the facility provider. EYD will make all attempts to reschedule, but this rescheduled session may not be at the same facility, time or on the same day of the week as the rest of the season. 
  3. All requests must be submitted through email to info@yegyouthdodgeball.com and will be processed within 2-3 weeks.
  4. If a season offering is cancelled due to lack of registrants, EYD will make all attempts to find an alternative offering. If none can be found, a full refund will be automatically issued within 2-3 weeks of the cancellation.
  5. All refunds will be issued by email transfer. Please ensure that EYD has your correct information to ensure efficient processing.
  6. Please note that transaction and processing fees are non-refundable for all credit card payments.
