General Information:

  • No outside alcohol permitted at Mission SB Complex. Teams found bringing alcohol into licensed city facilities will be withdrawn from the tournament. Teams found consuming alcohol at non-licensed city facilities will also be withdrawn from the tournament.
  • Do not bring dogs or other pets to sports facilities.  Teams allowing dogs on the field will be asked to leave.
  • Smoking is prohibited in all Kelowna parks, including sports fields. Please use the designated smoking areas at the Mission SB Complex or exit the park to smoke if you are playing at the East Kelowna SB Fields.
  • Spectators, like participants, are expected to adhere to the Participant Code of Conduct. Please ensure children are spectating in a safe manner.
  • Please stay off the infield during warm-up, use the outfield.
  • Be prepared to play. Games are to start and finish on time to maintain the tournament schedule.

Tournament Format Information:

  • All City Slo-Pitch League Rules apply.
  • Home Run Rule:  Intermediate ‘D’ – 2; Beginner ‘E’ – 1 – (Auto out following this).
  • The team with the higher ranking (lower number in brackets) is the home team. The home team supplies balls and has last bats. Teams will ump their own batters as in league play. Umpires are supplied for all final games for D and E (semi-finals as availability allows; allocation based on division level).
  • Time slots are 1 hour and 30 minutes in length from scheduled start time
  • No new innings are to start after 1 hr. 15 min. from scheduled start time.  Between 65-75 minutes from the scheduled start time, if starting a new inning, this will be the “open” inning.
  • 5 run limit per inning, with the last inning being the “Open Inning”
  • “Mercy rule – 12 runs” will be in effect for tournament (See City Slo-Pitch League Rules).
  • “Tie break / extra inning rule” in effect for tournament (See City Slo-Pitch League Rules).
  • Teams will play against teams from other nights.
  • Your league standing will determine in which tournament division you will compete.
  • Prizes are awarded to 1st and 2nd place in each tournament division.
  • Teams are responsible for ensuring that all players playing in the tournament are valid players listed on their team roster. It is up to the team captains to consult TeamLinkt rosters prior to starting a game. Official roster checks are not provided to teams during the tournament.
  • Teams not ready to play with the minimum number of players by 10 minutes past the scheduled start time will forfeit the game.
  • Should games be cancelled by the tournament coordinator due to unforeseen circumstances and are unable to be re-scheduled during the tournament weekend, the higher-ranking team will be awarded the win and move forward in the tournament.  If the tournament cannot be completed due to unforeseen circumstances, final placement & prize distribution for each division will be based on the two highest-ranking teams remaining in each division at the time of the tournament cancellation.
